2024 Capital Grants
Capital Grants are awarded to projects that improve, expand, repair or construct facilities or purchase major equipment that supports the organization’s charitable activities.
OCEAN ISLE MUSEUM FOUNDATION $23,000

Awarded grant towards costs of it’s Elevating Access Project to make the facility compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) - refitting restrooms, adding handrails on ramps between exhibits and installing an elevator. These improvements will
have a significant impact within Brunswick County as 15% are disabled and 34% are aged 65+.

Funds to upgrade sound systems in school auditoriums used for events, extracurricular, PTA and gatherings.
NEW HOPE CLINIC $30,000

Awarded for a health screening minivan to provide quality medical, dental and pharmacy services to low-income uninsured Brunswick adults. Programs are provided by a a corps of 130 professional and non-licensed volunteers. An additional 200 recipients are expected to be helped with the purchase of a new van.

CAPE FEAR GROUP HOMES $27,000

Cape Fear Group Homes provides vocational support to adults with intellectual or developmental difficulties, helping individuals become fully participating members of the community through goal development and skill acquisition. The organization received a grant for interior painting and furniture for its Day Service classroom to create a an environment that is welcoming and more comfortable.
